Questions

What callers ask most often

The answers usually given on the phone – so you have them beforehand.

Who pays for the appraisal?

After a road accident that was not your fault, the other party’s liability insurer normally covers the cost, and you are free to choose your own expert. Where fault is disputed, for own-damage cover and for commercial clients we invoice the client directly. We tell you which applies before we start, not afterwards.

How quickly can you be on site?

In the Hochfranken region usually the same day; for average and transport damage also at night and at weekends. Call early rather than late – traces disappear, vehicles get towed, cargo gets reloaded. A call costs nothing and settles in two minutes whether an on-site inspection is needed at all.

Do you work for the insurer or for me?

Neither, and that is the point. An expert establishes what is the case. Who commissions him changes nothing about that, and a report that bends to its client is worthless in court. Neutrality is not a disadvantage to you – it is the reason the result holds.

What does an initial assessment cost?

The call in which we establish whether and what needs doing is free. Everything beyond that follows the published rates: € 160 per hour, € 140 for insurance claims and building moisture damage, plus travel. Night and weekend surcharges apply. The full list is on the site.

What should I do before the inspection?

Secure the scene, document it, and change nothing that does not have to change. Photograph from four directions plus the details – lashing equipment, fracture points, odometer. Keep damaged parts. And do not have anything repaired before the damage has been recorded: what is gone cannot be assessed.

Do you produce reports for courts?

The documentation is designed throughout to withstand judicial scrutiny – traceable, complete, and built on evidenced findings rather than impressions. Whether a court appoints a particular expert in a given case is for the court to decide.

How long until the report is ready?

For a typical vehicle claim, a few working days after the inspection. Extensive average cases and those waiting on third-party findings take longer. You are given the timeframe at the inspection – and a message if it changes.
